You’ll probably curious what to do upon arrival in South Korea. Especially if this is your first time in South Korea. I will help you out with this post :)
Here what you need to do after you claim your baggage.
1. Buy Transportation Card (Tmoney/Seoul Pass)
You could find easily the transportation card at 7eleven, CU, or other convenience store at the airport. We buy Tmoney at Airport Limousine Bus counter. The counter is near from the arrival gate. They will help you to find the right bus number to the nearest bust stop to your hotel. I suggest you to buy the Tmoney here because you will get 10% discount for the bus :D But I don’t get cute Tmoney card like Brown version here, but that’s okay since we got discount *YEAYY*

2. Exchange Korail Pass Reservation
You need to exchange your Korail pass reservation to the actual one. Because will be on the earliest departure, we decided to exchange the Korail pass at the Airport in case we're in hurry. This is to reserve your seat so you won’t stand all the way to Busan. Find the KTX counter by following the KTX sign at the airport.
PS : be prepare because it’s far from the arrival gate :D
3. Get Maps & Brochures
You’ll find many maps & brochure at the airport. If you lucky, you will get discount coupon.

4. Download KakaoMetro Apps
This apps is used many by Koreans. One day, we ask to stranger about the nearest subway and she showed us using this Apps. And this apps is easy to use, we can select the start-&-end point with this apps. Indar is the expert when using this apps.
Transport from Airport to Hotel
There are several options from Incheon International Airport to your Hotel, AREX (Airport Express), Limousine Bus, or Taxi. We decided to take Limousine Bus because it is easier, faster, and affordable to Chungmoro. They also have WiFi on the bus & you could get Lotte Duty Free discount voucher.

The fare are will be vary depends on your destination. We take Bus No.6015 to Myeongdong. The fare is 15,000 KRW but since we get the discount, the fare is only 13,500 KRW. Don’t forget to ask the earliest and the latest bus arrival time at your nearest bus stop, it’s really important information once you will be back to airport.
PS : Don’t take taxi unless you’re filthy rich
Money Changer/ATM/CC
1. Money Changer
The best rate will be around Myeongdong or other tourist area. Please don’t exchange your money at the airport because it’s expensive.
2. ATM
Don’t worry if you ran out cash. Just find Global ATM sign and you could use your local debit card. The rate is vary depends on the bank and how much money do you take and there’s also fee when you use ATM. I heard that WOORI gave the cheapest rate. But we never use ATM since we have CC :)
3. Credit Card
The most convenience way when you make a payment in store. But you will find the the details not so descriptive on your credit card statement. So make sure to list down your expenses on the notes.
Don't you get excited to get details on Day 1? Just wait for the next post, readers :)
